Missing Bridgeport pieces

When I purchased my old round ram Bridgeport milling machine, it was missing the physical stops and left side travel rod support along with the adjustable stop collars. These are located along the front edge of the mill table. Last week end, I moved the machine into it's position inside my shop to try to figure out how I want the equipment placed in the final result. My machines are not operational at this time, so I borrowed a Bridgeport mill and a lathe to use to make my parts. Here's a few pics of the pieces for those who may be interested.

The square head bolts slide into a T slot on the front of the mill table, then the round pieces go over the bolt shank, keyed into the slot, with a nut for retention. These are slid along the slot and locked down to provide a positive stop when milling by hand to defined points, one on the left, and one on the right. The oddly shaped piece is to support the rod that is attached to the table power feed handle, that runs across the front of the table. There are 2 adjustable stop collars that are slid along this rod and locked down to adjust the automatic stopping of the table when one is doing repeat cuts on a setup, using power table feed. The parts other than the threaded portion of the bolts, are made of O1 tool steel.

Round ram, huh? I have one of those too, a 1946 model. Bought it in June last year. I've already bought a newer dovetail BP to replace it, though, 'cause tramming the round ram is a pain.

X axis isn't all that terrible, although as you tighten the bolts, things move, so you have to figure out how much it moves, then purposely set it up out of tram that amount so it goes to 0 when tightened.

Y axis of course has to be shimmed.

That alone was enough for me to decide on a dovetail BP. Not to mention the 30+ years less use my newer mill has on it!

No pics of the newer one since it's still in my friend's shop. Waiting on warmer weather to move it!

I bought the round ram unit at a good price years ago, but I'm on the lookout for a dovetail model, if I can find one for the right price nearby. I have a friend who wants this one anyway.

Looks good!

Any milling machine is a WHOLE lot better than no milling machine, that's for sure.
