I recently picked up this brake, and there seems to be a piece missing. It's called a Folding Bar Support (8146122-000) From pictures I've seen online, it looks to be a piece of steel angle. If anyone has one of these brakes, would they please take a measurement of the legs, length, and the thickness for me? Thanks in advance.

@Mikie, I think I can help on this. I have a 24” that was missing all the fingers so I converted to a standard brake. There is a removable angle steel piece bolted to mine on the apron.

That looks the the missing piece. When you have a chance, can you measure that for me? Much appreciated!

If it's the same as the older version of this brake, I can measure mine if I think about it. Unless you're trying to restore it, though, it shouldn't really matter as long as it does the job.

I'd like to install the piece for forming larger radius on sheet metal, can't do it with the thin plate.

I mean, whatever you add isn't real critical. Just find a piece of angle, drill the holes, and bolt it on. In fact, depending on how heavy the metal is you're trying to bend and the radius, it might pay to go thicker than original.

@Mikie, I measured the angle piece for you. It is angle steel 2”x2”x 26-1/4” and is .350 thick. That is an unusual thickness, but I don’t see why standard 1/4” or 5/16” thick will not suffice.
