I’m trying to restore an old band saw. There is nothing on it to indicate the manufacturer. I don’t know what part is needed to raise and lower the wheel. If anyone knows what is missing I’d appreciate the feedback.

Maybe a roll pin or bolt in the shaft just above the handwheel. Maybe there is supposed to be a sleeve there, pinned to the shaft.

Just guessing.

It is threaded in the raise/lower mechanism as well as the web just above the handwheel as pictured?

Seems to me the pin needs to be above some element of the frame to do any work. I don't see any signs of wear to say it's in the lower half, and it doesn't seem long enough to fit above the upper half. The fixed element wants to be trapped between the hand wheel and the pin.

contact Iturra Design and get a catalog. Used to be 904 642-2802 or [email protected]. Your picture is the tensioning assembly . You may be missing the tracking arm or equivalent for your machine as well as the tensioning wheel and upper wheel axle assembly and the spring.

Good luck
