Going to be building a miter saw table and I am looking for suggestions for a fence system for it. I like what I have seen about the Kreg one, and appreciate the other kreg tools I have, but I figured I would see what other people are using or would suggest.

Also, if you have suggestions for plans for a miter saw table that would be great. I have looked at a few and would like some sort of dust collection, compartment for shopvac, and an auto switch for saw them shopvac.

Thanks

I don't know if you are familiar with John Heisz on youtube, but he has an awesome series on the mitre saw table he built. Lot of good ideas for dust collection and storage. His channel is named I Build It.

Currently working on this project myself. Check YouTube if you have not already... some really interesting approaches to solving some of your questions. As for an alternative to the Kreg t-track fence I would suggest Incra. Their stuff is made in USA (I think Kreg is as well) and offers what appears to be a more robust stop mechanism for repetitive cuts. I believe the prices are close with Incra being a bit more. I am still in the design phase and have not decided on which fence system to go with... have not found many negative reviews on either.

I use a similar track and flip stop setup. Luv it. Serious time saver for accurate and repeatable cuts.

I've had it ~20 yrs now. Don't remember the brand.
