I and another friend (Rick S here on GJ) both have the previous generation Rigid SUV stand, with a table like top to bolt the saw to. Absolutely the best stand I've ever seen/used. Big wheels so it is loveable over any ground, folds VERY easily, is compact when vertical, expansive when needed, and very solid.
The only thing I wish mine had was fold outs on the legs to hold a modest amount of stock for volume cutting.
The newer version is very nice, and gives flexibility of mounting alternate tools, but so far I'm glad I have mine. The extra table surface is nice for hold pencils, tape measures, etc.
I considered making my own, nut the more I worked with Rick's, I knew I could do no better for my sometimes portable needs!
