Do any of you guys have any advice on mixing different color chips together. I have 4 different colors at 55 lbs each, so i was thinking of 5 gal buckets ? Any tips on how to keep it consistent and even would be appreciated.

Thanks

not sure the volume of 220 pounds of chips, but what about putting some in a clean 55 gallon drum and rolling it around the yard, or some other large cylindrical container you may possibly have laying around or access to?

They would fit in a large wheel barrel, i don't have any 55 gal drums. I was thinking maybe even a plastic tarp, mixing them good than transferring to 5 gal buckets once mixed ??

The easiest way is to do it in batches of 25-30lbs in a heavy duty plastic bag or one of the bags that the chip came in. I do it all the time, do it in the garage so if you spill some its easy sweep up. Just rolling back and forth and it should mix it all up real well. That's a hell of alot of chip, how big is the area your doing?

its 1100 square. I will try in the bags by dividing equally than mixing together. I want to apply it full to rejection. Ive never done this many chips before but have seen it done by a member on here, in a house that i worked on in greenwich ct. and am hoping for the same results. Im a painting contractor by trade so ive done a lot of floors before but never like this. Its my own house so if i mess up ive got no one to sew me :fingersx:

I'd get a 55 gallon drum (often $10 on craigslist) seems like the easiest way and least likely of spilling.

Make sure you have a good pair of spike/nail shoes.
