I'm at a buddy's garage and he painted his floor yesterday and is ready to clear coat. However. His floor needs another coat of color.

Can he mix his clear and grey color altogether for a final top coat?

Thanks lenny

Didn't have enough gray to finish the whole thing
We did add what color we had to the clear and applied it to the floor so far looks pretty good

When they applied the first coat it was very thin and coverage was poor. It did not look good at all. Another coat was deffenitly need but he did not want to wait for more paint nor did he want to spend more money. He was hell bent on applying the clear coat and being done.

I suggested substituting the 1 1/2 gallon of leftover gray (hence the thin first coat)with the clear top coat since they both used the same hardener. At least he would have a floor that had good covarge, equal color and no dry spots.

That's what we did and I think it turned out great. There were some marks in the concrete from a media blaster they used and lots of dirt but all in all it looks good. I'll post pics when I figure out how to do that.
