Mixing Rock Solid Polyurea

Hello. Quick question. My new garage floor requires 4 of the Rock Solid Polyurea kits. Can I mix all of the color tint AND Polyurea product together in a 5 Gallon pail to make sure the color is consistent across the shop floor? I understand it sets up based on temperature but it is currently in the 40-50's in Michigan. I thought maybe I could get away with mixing it and keeping it covered between applications. Will this work or am I asking for trouble? Thanks, Jim

I think you would be okay with that. I have about a quart or more that was left over from my garage in a large ziploc baggie from 2 years ago that is still usable. But having said that, your best bet is to call Rocksolid and ask them.

Coming from some one who has put down two Rock solid floors I would not recommend this. You can mix all the color tint together and return it to their specific containers. I would mix each kit as you use it.

As Mike said... mix the color tint together and then put it back in the individual containers... that is what the manufacturer recommends. The burst bags they use work great and I would recommend just following the directions , it will come out fine. I mixed mine in 1 gallon multi -mix pails .

They claim working time of <1hr once mixed. took me 4ish hrs to do my 24x40 (just shy of 1000sqft so 4 kits). By that math, no you can't. All my color/tints were close enough I didn't need to mix them (realized as I did so).

I saw more variation between sections laid down as I learned how to apply it than between batches.

Better to do the batches individually so if you want to break for a snack halfway through you don't have to worry about being on the clock.
