MK Morse vs. Freud

I'm looking for a non-ferrous 10" miter saw blade.

I know Freud makes decent blades, but how about MK Morse?

I don't recall ever hearing about them, and google's not being too helpful. I guess this brand is more intended for contractors and such, rather than lowly little consumers like myself?

Supposedly (says amazon) these blades are made in the US.

MK Morse makes good stuff. For a 10" miter saw blade check out Forrest. They make excellent saw blades.

Forrest!!!!! I like Freud too. I have never used Morse though. Actually, I've never seen one in person that I know of. I have Freud blades on 3 of my saws. (Table, Circ and SCM. I need to get one for my Radial too.)

As far as my searching went, I could not find a non-ferrous metal cutting blade by Forrest.

The Freud Diablo blade was $55 at Amazon, before 15% discount that somehow disappeared. The MK Morse is $65 before 15% discount, dropping it to the price of the Freud.

I just need this for casual aluminum channel cutting, so I wouldn't be willing to pay 3x the price for a Forrest blade if one even existed.

I have never seen MK Morse products in person either, but the price seems decent enough.

I guess you're right. I'll just wait for another one of those 25% off sales at Amazon. In the meantime, I can get by with a jigsaw.

Now I only have to choose between Freud's Avanti, Diablo, and Pro line. =) The Avanti and Diablo are at about the same cost, with the difference being the color and maybe effectiveness of the blade coating.
