Walmart wont honor dollar off coupons, only fixed price coupons. I wish this would work though

Sheesh, seems like Walmart's $22 for the 5-gallon jug is a damn good price as it is! That's synthetic right?

It's worth a try...

Technically, from what I've read it's a synthetic blend but they market it as an advanced synthetic. It's very good oil and it has many manufacturer specs... The toughest specs probably being MB 229.5 and Porsche A40.

Ok, so what about Walmart's house brand synthetic (Supertech)...$17?

Pennzoil Platinum is cheaper and has similar, if not better, UOA results vs Mobil1. The extended life Mobil1 is the better of their oils. WalMart no longer carries Pennzoil Ultra and it is reputed that Platinum will be their new top line product with the old Ultra base stock......but this is just speculation. Mobil1 used to be great pre Mobil1vsCastrol court decision. I have used Amsoil almost exclusively since then based on UOA.

I've had better luck with Penz. Platinum too. Mobil1 is all about the name. UOA backs this up. Amsoil is too damn expensive, and I've yet to have an oil-related failure in any of my cars or trucks.

As for the menufacturer specs, that's all about paying to have the testing done. Most companies don't spend the $$$$$ to have their oil tested to the exact manufacturer's method.

Not true. I just used a couple $5 off Valvoline oil coupons. I've also used several $1 off miscellaneous food items before.

^My statement was per their official coupon policy, specifically for other store coupons. This one is not a Manufacturer Coupon.

This is only valid for Mobil 1 Motorcycle Oil. My local AutoZone would not honor it for any other Mobil 1 product.

My cars use 15W-50. Of course Autozone doesn't carry that weight in the 5 quart jugs and their per quart price ($9.99) is no bargain even with a $10.00 off on 5 quarts coupon.

Shopped around figuring I'd try the Autozone coupon at one of their competitors. Nobody seems to carry Mobil 1 15W-50 in the 5 quart jugs. The last place I stopped was O'Reilly's. Turns out they've got Mobil 1 on sale for $5.99/quart. Bought 15 quarts, but forgot all about trying to use the Autozone coupon...

May go back tomorrow and clean out the rest they've got on the shelve - it's not like it's going to go bad on me. ;)

mobil 1 15/50 is in your local wally world(5 quart jugs). Thats a very good oil, if you look closely, you will see the racing flags. It has a good aditive package with ZINC in it. I run it in the mustang.

I was disappointed today in Costco they have the instant rebate on mobil 1 6 quart boxes, but its only like 3 or 4 bucks. I remember when it was on coupon it was down to $22 per box or so, now its down to $31 with this.

I may not be contributing much sorry. But it makes me mad. The wal mart deal isn't bad and I might try the coupon there, but I do prefer the quart bottles.

aw weak i just saw the coupon expired.

Local Malwart doesn't stock 15W-50. Besides I'd rather spend a few bucks more never to have set foot in a Malwart - feels like you lose 50 IQ points just walking through the door.

Looks like the autozone coupon is dead.

The amazon deal is still good, 6 quarts of mobil 1 "full synthetic" and an M1 extended performance filter. After a rebate it comes out to about $38 for 6 quarts and the filter (filters are about $10 alone)

Theres also a Valvoline "full synthetic" oil change special in Advance that just started, 5 quart jug and a Fram Xtended Guard filter (the good Fram basically), for $34, or $27 if you purchase 2.

Autozone regularly runs deals on oil and filter combinations. Just keep an eye on their circular via their website. Right now you can get five quarts of Mobil One, or the 5+ quart jug, and a Bosch filter for 29.99. You can upgrade to a Mobil 1 filter for four bucks. They have the same deal on Castrol Syntec for 3 bucks more.
