\Getting ready to charge my BIL 2003 Chevy 2500 HD A/C with a can of 134A and noticed it has both charge ports on the same hose under the hood next to the firewall is this a change from when they used to put one on the high pressure side and one on the low pressure side? Should I just pick one or does it make a difference which one I use? Not up on the newer technoloiges. The newest one I've charged is one my old 1990 Chevy C1500 Silverado. Thanks in advance for your all's help and keep up the good work on all your projects.

why are you charging it you have a leak? Id take it to a reputable shop. Your going to either over charge it or undercharge it.

If you have a A/C gauge and can read a manual charging AC is not that hard. I also believe that the low side is used to charge it and it is usually the smaller of the two "ports" if I remember correctly from what I've read.

Always use the low pressure port. There is an orifice tube in the line between the service ports. The orifice tube seperates the high and low side of the system. If you are using one of the kits to charge from a can then it should only fit on the low side. If the lines have been open you will need to pull a vacuum on the system.

We have a winner, Mojo 13 you are correct the correct is the smaller of the two ports and now the A/C is cooling properly and thanks to Mr. Whizard electronics the speedometer and all the guages have been reworked so the trans temp shouldn't max out anymore, also. Thanks again and keep up the good work everyone!
