Mobile base for mill

Ok, so seeing the mobile heavy work table got me thinking, why couldn't a mobile base be made for a milling machine? I know they weight 2000-2500lbs, but with four 750lbs casters, that would be 3000, and 1k casters are available. It's over-simplifying, yes, but it's possible to make a rolling dolly strong enough.

This would make the mill much handier, as it could be pushed out of the way when it wasn't in use, and still give it enough working room when needed.

What am I missing? They're not around, that I've seen, so I would think the idea has been tried and failed in the past.

What you are missing is that it has already been done. I have had a mobile base under my mill for 15 years, no problems

I have also seen several people that mount them on a pallet or a skid and use a pallet jack to move them. This is a great option if you have a pallet jack.
I have seen some people do the same if they have a fork lift.
There was one guys shop I saw where he mounted all kinds of equipment on pallets, brake, shear, grinders....etc and use the fork lift to put them up on a pallet rack when not being used. Brought down when he needed for the project and then put them back at the end of the project
