Mobile detailing?

Anybody here detail or do mobile detailing? I just started it as a side job since there is no one here that does mobile detailing and the dealerships all charge high.
I have only been doing it for a couple weeks and the response has been amazing. I'm already booked out 2 weeks. I'm priced pretty darn low but that's because I honest didn't think it would take off like it did.
I would still love to learn more though and I know I could use some help in refining my technique. I am on the autogeek forum already but just curious if anyone here did it.

I do it too, have been for almost 10 years now, full time for the last 7. Started in Seattle and moved the business to Bend Oregon this past March. It's a great business (IMO). Glad to hear that it's taking of for you!

I have my own detailing shop and have started to do some mobile work also. The mobile part is for heavy equipment (loaders, timber processers, skidders) that are hard to move.Don't set your price too low, that only brings in the bargain hunters. You want to build a loyal repeat customer base of people who know the value of the service you provide.

I've been doing it for over 35 years. Almost always shop based, with the exception of house calls for a few of my customers.

It has turned into a side business for me the last few years, but still have plenty of business.

I am not currently. But your absolutely correct, I need to do this sooner than later.

I just have SO many questions. Would any of you care if I got your emails to learn more?

I have a friend that is setup for mobile and also does detailing in his garage. He is a nut about clean and his prices reflect his work. He is very good at what he does but the market isn't here in my area, most people don't want to let go of more than $50 for a full detail. He's been struggling since he went full time on the gig. it ***** to see him trying and not making it but maybe he can find the customers he deserves.
