I am located about the other corner of the continent from you and use Canadian sourced holders. Not sure what is available in you area.

For 3/8 drive sockets I use Napa UltraPro metal socket trays. For 1/2 drive I use Pro-Point/ Olsa aluminum socket rails. Stuffed tightly together in a Snap-on road chest.

From what I’ve seen having been on a few calls with other road techs, either they keep them in the magnetic trays or blow molded trays they come in or let em roll loose in their own drawer in a controlled chaos state.

I like this system, but some of the plastic trays are starting to get damaged. I'll be looking for better options soon797d98d5e99563cf9a1c54cf5236dbe8.jpga9e38a52b5af9b96cdd7c031b127d0d7.jpg2fb31094f3f254802e463cb279f88bfe.jpg

Ernst twist lock rails all the way.
http://www.ernstmfg.com/

I work on diesel gensets on mountaintops, so my beater road box is pretty well destroyed running up fire and logging roads every day, but never had a socket come off a rail!

It's a mix of Ernst on the 3/8" impacts, Craftsman rails for the 1/2", Gearwrench on some sets, and some metal rails cut to whatever length I need. 1/4" sets are in cases.
