Hi Guys so have something like this currently and its been a very strong bag with lots of organizing inside.

but now that I got a pick up truck there will be times i would store it in box and new something more sealed up.

your thoughts.

ps it would be used for storing general everyday tools like compact m12 drill, sockets, pliers, drill bits, tape etc

please post some pics of your tool gear case and how you organize the tools inside even if not water proof looking for new ideas. thanks

I started several years ago shifting from tool bags to the Ridgid stacking toolboxes. When I started out tools all had the option to be purchased with a sturdy metal case, from drill, sawzalls, jigsaws, heck my Makita 9.6 cordless had a nice steel box big enough for an extra battery and charger and a set of bits.

in recent years I’ve been transitioning to cordless tools. I tried to blowmolded cases, and even the bags and some of the kits came with, and always was left disappointed. I find the Ridgid boxes a very good blend of quality, flexibility, and value. Milwaukee makes a great set of packouts, but they are significantly more expensive, and I don’t like the Dewalt Tstak at all.

My set up now includes several of the smaller ones, one set up for my corded hammer drill, one for my new SDS cordless hammer drill, one for my cordless sawzall. I have two midsize boxes, one for my drill and drivers with a large selection of bit’s, and one set up for my cordless circular saw. I do have the largest size roll around one, and I typically keep that empty so I can set up for whatever job I’m taking my tools to.

I also have one of the Hart branded equipment boxes available from Walmart. That set up to hold my oscillating multi tool, as well as a variety of blades to go with it. I like it, and find it to be a good value, it’s just unfortunate that it doesn’t integrate with a system that allows it to roll around or mate to the other boxes.

Veto Pro Pac is basically the bar. If I were back in a service truck, in a heartbeat.

I have a medium sized Mac tool's bag I keep some Klein style bags in for common hand tools. Sockets on twist lock rails, club hammer in the bottom.
