My Atlas 72 (similar to a C-Man 100) is on a piece of 3/4" plywood with casters mounted on it. All made with parts I had laying around the shop. Cost = 0$.

I finished this project a while ago but forgot to post the results.

I made it out of toolbox wheels, 3/4" plywood, and 2x4's.

I have fabbed several mobile bases including one for a Clausing 15" drill press. You want to:
1. increase the footprint, ESPECIALLY on the side with swivel casters such that when they swivel towards the machine, the base is not tipsy.
2. Use angle iron oriented like "L___J" such that the machine can sit down on the lower part. I don't do this for most angle bases because it leaves a space for chips to get stuck...but for drills, you really want them close to the ground.

Drill presses are naturally tipsy machines. Many will tell you it's a bad idea to put a mobile base on one. Mine with a mobile base is more stable than without, though, because it was designed properly to increase the footprint and keep the machine low. Also, I made it rated for about 3/4ton. You never know when you may need to put an engine block on the base of your drill press and have at it.

I took wheels off one, use a pallet jack if it would need to move. Moved the shelf up an inch on the parts washer so the jack would fit.
