I have been working on a few Garage Mods.
First is something I have been waiting for 4 months to do. Moen has postponed the launch of the first hot cold freeze resistant faucet month after month. They finally shipped my unit 2 weeks ago. I now have Hot and cold SOFT WATER on the side of the house going up the driveway. I can't wait to try out the soft water on the car. It was installed right where I love to wash the car which is usually covered with shade.
My plumber was very impressed with the design. The shut off is actually located about 12 inches from the faucet head. So it dumps the water out from the inside of the house out where there is a bleeder valve. This prevents a busted pipe during a freeze.
I added the cast iron detail it goes with our 20's Tudor House.

Next is the addition of two Costco industrial work site fans. The fans are pretty powerful! I mounted them at the highest point in the garage. This is where the heat collects. When the 30 Halogen lights are on it is a pressure cooker. So I hardwired both fans and ran new electrical to a wall switch. The difference is night and day. I can crack the garage door or open the french doors and the heat escapes. This was a COOL project lol! I will be adding the rest of the models around the other fan this week I will post some updated pics later.
