Long time no update.

Ive finally had some time to play around in the garage.

Managed to get the tire rack up to free up some floor space. Still a lot of junk in the corner that needs to be moved or thrown out.

Annyways,

We use smaller industrial racking at work for storage / work space and figured this would be a perfect solution.

Plenty of storage, I just have to nip out to Home Depot and get a piece of MDF cut for the workbench portion. Ill probably order some old trusty LED lights from amazon to light up he work surface.

The car fits in with lots of room to spare.

Well its been quite the year for everyone. We have decided take advantage of the extremely hot housing market here in Toronto, cash out and move outside the city. The plan is to move south of Ottawa where our money can go a little further in terms of space and number or garage(s)

we listed our house in the beginning of September and it sold for over asking in under a week which was crazy. The house showed amazingly well and I am super happy to have nice professional photos to remember the house by.

Closing date is the end of November. We have rented

Below are some of the images from the listing.

Drone shots to show the park which wraps around the property.

We are moving out tomorrow and will be renting for the next few months. The seller of the new place wanted a longer closing date.

Eh it will be worth the wait.

Wow, totally different style than the last place! Curious about the flip from a clean modern / contemporary to something more traditional.

Looks like a wonderful property with lots of space and views!

I have followed this thread for a long time. Loved the modern design of the old place. Congrats on moving out of the city. It looks like you quadrupled your garage space

Hey bud! saw your name pop up and was thinking "I think I've seen this guys build, or he has been commenting on mine in the past" and yep! had to re sift through my own build page to find ya. 3 year ago haha!

How's the R32 going? any more upgrades done to her since last time? If i recall you had a ECU and turbo done to it?

NICE NICE NICE new house!!! I don't know why but I love watching Love it or list it Vancouver, maybe because the housing market is comically astronomical there like it is down here in Sydney. I think Vancouver and Sydney both are in the top 5 or 10 most expensive cities to live in.
How is the Toronto market compared to over west? You say the market is extremely hot, I'm guessing its like here, Sydney booms, and when no one can afford here anymore, all the other major cities skyrocket too.

New house looks like a perfect place to park many many more imports!

Sweet transformation but was thinking NO Thank You, to the lot. Now it seems you have room to enjoy your garage and relax in your yard vs a cubicle.

Thanks, The property / location is what sold us on the new house (Garage space might have had something to do with it as well ;) ) for the new area, having a modern house would really stand out and might hurt resale down the line. I am sure we will put our own spin on it though.

Its honestly been the best decision. Especially with covid, there doesnt seem to be the same concern in the small town. I am definitely excited for the new space. my dream is to be able to get a cnc plasma alongside the car to make my own parts, Now i will have enough space and budget to make this a reality.

You picked a great time to sell, the real estate market is nuts especially in the GTA.

Any land with the new place?

We sold right before the market was flooded with all the properties which had mortgage deferrals because of the pandemic. Had we waited a few more weeks we would likely have been down 100-120K.

New place is on 2 acres with a forest behind which is full or trails for cross country skiing, mountain biking ect.

Going to be a big change from the 27'x125' lot we were on before haha

Yea we had a bit of back and forth a while back. The Toronto market is almost comparable with Vancouver. We bought the house back in 2012 when prices were somewhat reasonable. we sold for over double what we had into it so it made complete sense to pack up and leave the city.

The car is gone through a minor transformation. Mainly adapting GTR individual throttles to the RB20det. Now that I have more of a budget to play with (and more room) the plan has been to do an exterior makeover.
