i have run out of space.

A new car has occupied my workshop space for almost a year now. That means that I have to service the Stratos where it’s parked. It’s not too inconvenient, but I would like the workshop back. I am thinking of building a small, two-car garage on an empty part of the property.

The Stratos is a very cool car as well as your other cars.
Googling size of Manila yields “16.56 sq miles” and is the “most densely populated city in the world”.
So I am curious, where do you “exercise” your cars?
If you can build a service garage, why not?

Hello, Boosted1. I used to be able to drive sports cars to work, including the Stratus. But population increased dramatically over the last decade, and I now drive only on Sundays. The expressways and provincial roads still permit good drives. Unfortunately, the Catholic Church, and we are a predominately Catholic country, blocked reproductive health laws and their implementation, so the situation will get worse. I envy many here who can drive everyday on lovely roads.

keep posting andy,good to see the updates on the garage and cars, the inspiration for mine came from ducatis and your one, although now after a few years the white epoxy isnt looking too good,what type of tiles have you got under the stratos,im think this will be a better long term working floor than epoxy

It has been some time since I’ve posted and several months now since the lockdown. The local club (the Manila Sports Car Club) has continued with its regular meetings without skipping a beat, but since March has done so virtually via Zoom.I have to count myself lucky to have a pleasant, calming garage to shelter in. It is the perfect venue in which to attend the virtual meetings. I hope all of you have beff been keeping well.

I am deployed to a war zone and stuck in quarantine, and with two weeks ahead of me in a 20ft shipping container of a room, thought I'd browse GJ for ideas on modern/minimalist garage. Struck the jackpot when I landed on this thread. Fantastic garage, house, and cars chief. Doesn't really get any better than what you've done here. Bravo.

Thank you all for the greetings. I’m afraid I’ve not been on GJ for a while and haven’t had the opportunity to answer.


The garage has seen no changes; it has functioned very well and a pleasure still to be in. I took a photo with my phone to remind you how the place looks.

I’ve added no new cars and in fact sold the Porsche 718 last year. It was parked in a separate garage that adjoins the main garage seen here. That encourages me to use the other cars more.

Andres, so good to see your post. You have honed your home and garage into the perfect place to live and relax. Your collection of cars also fits perfectly, with the old MG, Lancia, Lotus and Dino patiently waiting your attention. I assume the 'daily drivers,' the Lamborghini and Ferarri, are resting peacefully in the extension garage.
