My tile guy at work! I know its cold out, but I would never attempt that, with my luck I'd lose a finger.

Actually fairly common practice with tile guys.

Not that I would recommend doing it.

That's how our granite installers made our cooktop cutout. They said it both cools the blade and reduces dust. It seemed to work well.

When its this cold out,to prevent freezing I just plug the wetsaw pump in direct,,,,,let it run non-stop !!!!

By the way, when my granite contractor used this technique it was a warm sunny 75-80 degree spring afternoon. I got the impression it's just "what they do."

These guys are pros, and don't even blink an eye when doing it, as for some of us novice users , I wouldn't recommend it!

Just cause your a "pro" doesn't make it safe. That said I do lots of things that are unsafe due to being familiar with doing it that way all my life.
