I don't have 1 in front of me and can't see enough detail in the Harbor Freight website picture. Could the magnet(s) on the back of the Harbor Freight magnetic glove dispenser be relocated from the back to the side?

This would allow it to mounted underneath a metal surface facing out horizontally - e.g. under a metal cabinet but facing out instead of down...

Thanks,

I would just use sheetmetal screws and do that.

The sides are more 'floppy' than the back and it wouldn't hold right (in my 02) if there was just magnets on the sides.

Reference: I have 4 or so of these all over my shop to get me to use glvoes more, work great with magnets on sides of my tool boxes, doors, etc.

(Where possible I screw them in if I have no intention of moving them so I don't bump them hard to yank on a stuck glove and send it flying)

Thanks for the insight - Yeah floppy wouldn't work - you 'pull' too much on this. I could possibly fix the 'floppy' sides w/ a small bracket or brace on the opposite end you slide the box in on.

Next time I'm at HF I'll have to look and see if the magnets can be removed/reinstalled elsewhere and if I think I can rig up a brace.

There's other places I could always put it - but under the metal cabinets is perfect - sheet metal screws won't work because they'll protude into the bottom shelf. :(

I've also seen cheaper glove box holders that are wire frame and designed to be screw mounted - but the magnet option is pretty ideal provided I could mount it under a metal cabinet.

Thanks again for the info

The magnets are attached to mine only......magnetically. Which is amazing in itself, because the magnets are the lowest quality Chimagnium I've seen in a while. A few small neodymium magnets will hold it much better.

Moving the magnets will accomplish what you want but the overall structure may be too flimsy to hang sideways without a little reinforcement to keep the two halves together due to the weight of the box of gloves and while reaching for a glove.
