So after expanding the garage a few years ago now, I am now finding myself in need of a hoist, I currently only have 10 foot ceilings and is low for a full hoist, I see that bendpack has a XPR9FSX that is only a 9 foot 4 inch clearance, but I am thinking my 1 Ton Truck wouldnt fit on that hoise in the garage or for that matter even the wifes mini van, so I am contimplating now about modifying the trusses in the center to allow the hoist to work. The garage has a 4/12 pitch and is roughly 14 foot 6 inches at the center peak.
The trusses are home made 2x4's with 3/4 inch fir plywood gussest and 3" spiral concrete nails from both sies (around 5 at every joint) the trusses are spaced every 24 incehs roughly.
The other option I am trying to get the wife to agree to is to expand the garage one more time, we have another 16 feet of space behind the garage that we could move the shed out of and expand the current garage and put 12 foot ceilings in that area.
Refer to my original thread hear for picks of the garage and the trusses and also the space where the shed is.

I need to update the thread with the new look of the garage, the inside is completely finished with OSB and floor to ceiling shelves on the one side. Seems like I am always cleaning and trying to reorganize the inside...
