Auction Ad says Modine Natural Gas Heater 24,000btu.

Are these easy to change to propane?
How do I determine usable condition?

Don't ask for photo's as I have none.

Just hate to buy it thinking its easy setup.
Only to find that a professional says the heat exchanger or something is flawed.
Any trouble spots to inspect closely in one of these?

Low btu heaters, from several manufacturers, are so inexpensive that I wouldn't bother with a used unit that has no warranty and has to be converted.

Penny wise and pound foolish comes to mind.

Around here a new Reznor with a power vent is around $700. Used ones go for about half of that. At that cost differential, I buy new.

I looked real quick and saw most over $350 so I thought maybe I'd at least take a look. If it went $100 or less I figured it would be worth spending the time at the Auction but if most of you think I should buy new, then maybe I'll wait.
Thanks

When i was looking at a used unit heater the nat/pro conversion kit was over $100. So buying a nat gas one for me was out of the question. Mine is a early 2000s modine 40kbtu. I believe i paid $200 used for it. Was a former green house heater.
