Model PD30AA0111
the gas control unit has four settings: off, on, pilot, and set. instruction manual is confusing and basically applies to more than one model. I would love specific instructions for lighting the pilot on this unit.
Here is the deal. With the switch on "set", I get gas and can light pilot, hold for a minute, but as soon as I let go of switch is goes out. So I know that gas can get through to the orifice. However, nothing at all happens when in the "pilot" position. No gas hissing, no sound whatsoever.
Am I supposed to light in the "set" position and hold for a period of time and then what? Or am I supposed to be using the "pilot" setting, and then switching to "on" once it's lit?
Problem.....won't light in "pilot" setting and won't stay lit on "set" setting.
Thoughts?
