What’s the best of budget, quality and option modular mobile tool box?

Craftsman- budget friendly
Hart- budget friendly with lot of option
Ryobi- missing a lot of options other brands offer
Milwaukee-$$$$$ need I say more
Husky connect- appears more DIY and bottom bin doesn’t have lid
Rigid- seems like it doesn’t have many options and is out of stock by me

I'm going on the 3rd summer using rigid boxes to hold stuff in my boat that is used 100% on salt water. They've been in and out of the boat and ton, dragged up docks, dragged up beaches in and out of cabins, and in and out of the bed of my truck. I don't think I've broken a single thing on them which is very impressive for anything in my life to hold up that well for that long. We added the cooler this summer and it's been great though we don't see crazy temps up here. They aren't advertised as water proof though we've never had stuff wet in them, they get covered in rain water and salt spray, and my tool box isn't full of rust. The bottom roller box gets piled with full boxes on top and doesn't complain.

My only concern is home depot will discontinue them.

I think they are getting ready to introduce the next generation, I wanted another box without wheels and when they lowered the price to $29.95 **** they were gone...

A quick update ridgid released a pro series 2.0 and claims all the 1.0 stuff is compatible with the 2.0 stuff. So far I've picked up a 2.0 bottom box, big difference between the older and the newer stuff, the new bottom has a removable cart compared to built in wheels.

I'll try and do a comparison with pictures over the next couple days.

Do you think the 2.0 is heavier built? I'm looking at the rolling bottom box and cannot decide if I want to go with the original version which is proven or try the new 2.0. I do not live near a Home Depot so I am unable to compare them in person.

I get home from this hitch tomorrow, give me a couple days and I'll get back to you.

I believe the 2.0 is rated for more weight and
looks to have improved the handle design.
While stacked, the originals handle needs to be pushed all the way down for the lids to fully open.
Not a big issue, but cool to see they tried to solve the problem.
