Moen Cartridge troubles

Replaced a cartridge on a tub faucet, turned the water on and it only trickles.
Turned water off and removed the cartridge then turned the water on and have full pressure w/o the cartridge. Only a little gunk came out, redone the whole deal and still only get a trickle. Tired of fooling with it, help please.

I've had bad ones out of the package. If its a knock of one they are notorious for being junk. I would try another one. Grease it good. It should be fine.

I've had it in&out a dozen times now, even flipped it over so the H/C was on the bottom.

I'll second the recommendation to grease it good. Also, put it in straight so you do not have to turn it to align the tabs.

My first thought was that you were turning it and the rubber sleeves are getting tweaked and blocking the inlet holes.

Also, be sure the housing and feed holes are thoroughly flushed out and check to be sure you did not get a chunk of old rubber from the previous cartridge balled up inside the new one.

+1 on that - I lost my balance in the shower, and broke the handle off mine down at the cartridge valve plate - it was about 8 years old, called to order the replacement (after all, it was my fault)... they had all the necessary parts shipped to me (along with an installation sheet and the necessary allen wrench) and in my hands in 48 hours, for free.

By all means call MOEN, when i bought my house ( foreclosed/ reposession ) i new i would have MANY problems, one was a whirlpool bath tub, could not get A N Y water through the faucets called MOEN on their 800 number and they asked for pictures cause i did not know what model, they sent me a complete rebuild kit and instructions on to rebuild,,,,,, MOEN people - great to do business with,,,, i will certainly return business with them!
