Hello all I am fairly new to this awesome forum and have found some great things here. I am in need of some help from anyone who may have dealt with these single line lifts from Mohawk. I had reached out to Mohawk twice but have never received anything back from them.
I purchased this system 1 about 4 months ago from the daughter of the owner of the lift. Was a great price was already down and ready for loading so I swooped it up for a 1st lift at the home.
I have had it up for a month now and have been trying to troubleshoot getting both sides to go up.
The issue is when I go to lift up to work on bleeding the system only one side where the motor is mounted will go up. I have mounted the power unit to both columns and get the same issue with only the side going up where the power unit is mounted. I have the manual and follow the instructions with having to raise the side with power unit all the way up then attempt to bleed the system from the opposite cylinder.
I thought maybe the power unit was bad since it would start to scream and sound like it was grinding after the first cylinder goes all the way up so i replaced it with a universal unit but having the same issue minus the screaming and grinding of the power unit now.
Upon looking at the manual it shows two different size cylinders and one having a block off but both these cylinders are identical.
I had reached out to the daughter of the original owner to ask what it could be but did not get much other than being told he would run both cylinders up and down a few times and was always good to go.
I have been sure to not run out of fluid when running the 1st cylinder up and have disconnected the opposite side with a tube coming back to reservoir and not have had much air coming back and fluid runs through at a good flow rate.
I do see when running the main cylinder up and using the release valve it will only come down a inch or two and not all the way down to rest on lock.
Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated with only one side ever going up.
In the manual it shows the line going from main cylinder to the opposite side going into that velocity fuse at the bottom.
