This is a Monarch Number 225 vise that was manufactured by Prentiss. I finished restoring it earlier this year, and finally got a sunny day where I had time to take some pictures. It has 6 1/2" wide jaws, and is the largest Monarch vise I have personally ever seen. I used black appliance epoxy paint, and then finished it with clear coat. I have been debating whether or not to use gold leaf to outline the lion's head. Thoughts?
