Someone should look into this. I see the piece that is broken at the back. Is there some more damage that has been welded, or am i seeing things?

Saw this myself man. Tempting but I think I'll hold out for something in one piece.
Maybe an old giant Wilton if I can find one!

Yeah, it does look like there's some extra material at the back side of the dynamic jaw.
But for $45, that'd almost be worth getting for parts. The swivel base, the lead-screw and handle, and the dynamic jaw are pretty nice.

Then again, buying parts for a vise you might find in the future probably isn't brilliant...

That may not be broken...look at the pics in this thread of several old vices. They look very very similar.
