Hi Fellas
Now that I have the new garage built I'm looking for an old "cool" looking frige to keep the beer and sodas cold for all of my dead beat friends (just kidding). I have wanted one of those old monitor top refrigerator for a long time but I hate to take a chance on one not knowing how long it will last. Is there any HVAC guys out there that can tell me if one of thes can be retro fitted with a new compressor and evaporator system with out costing me an arm and a leg.
I looked on the web and there is one company that does it but they want $3000 to $3500 for one. A friend of mine told me that they can't be recharged because they used a gas back then that you can't get now and is illegal to use now. I would sure like to have one for the shop so any advice you guys could give me I sure would appreciate.
