Picked up this old Wards floor jack. My intention is to stop the leaks and just put it to use, however, since I can't seem to leave well enough alone, I am seriously thinking about some sandblasting and powder coating as well. I guess it will depend on how the hydraulics works out.
The only issue so far is that it leaks like crazy from the valve shaft. I have taken it down far enough to see it needs at least an o-ring. Could it be that simple?
I'm also trying to find out how to fill and burp the air on this unit. Any ideas?
I'll send Hiball a PM since I know he knows a ton about these things.
I'm hoping this project turns out a bit better than the last one, which ended up in the scrap heap.
