monkey wrench?

I found this wrench at a flea market today. It appears to to a combination pipe wrench and regular adjustable wrench? I can easily read a B and 91 on it. Otherwise, I can see BENIS_ _ _ A, on one side, on the opposite side was a circle with probably something in it, but I can't read it now.
The wooden handle has seen better days and it has been used as a hammer some but I will probably grind and file it to straighten it up some.
What do I have and when might it have been made?

Can the handle be straightened on that thing without destroying it?

I wouldn't want to destroy any collector value but I hate to see an old tool looking like that.

That's a common wrench with zero collectible value in that condition.
