monkeyrack anyone use?

I have seen the ad in magazines for a long time but I can not fined any reviews of it. Looks like it goes for about $500

Anyone use one or what are your thoughts on it?
It looks useful but at $500 It is out of my price range.

Looks like an option for when you can have a truck at the bottom of the ladder. Also looks like the truck could be in the way.
I'm sure someone finds it useful.

I wouldn't use it for trimming trees since my truck would be exactly where the branches would fall. It does look like it could be useful though.

That thing is an accident waiting to happen. Then again, step ladders max out my height tolerance.

sounds like a very specific use ladder. Seems like the moon and stars must align to make it work well. Truck right distance from wall for ladder angle and of course access to back truck to the spot, only need ladder access in one spot, etc. Not for me.

An easy way to hold an extension ladder against a tree, is to use a ratchet strap. Hook one end on a rung about head high, run it around the tree trunk, back to the other side of the same rung. Snug it down, and it will hold the ladder against the tree. That's the same concept you see telephone and cable tv guys using to hold their ladder against a pole. To be even more safe, use a short length of rope to tie the top rung to the tree.

I see the concept, but the execution would be cumbersome. I bet it takes a lot of time to get it positioned correctly.

EDIT: here try these guys for entertainment.

The issue I see with using it is it doesn't appear that the angle of the ladder is adjustable. While I do know know that there is an optimal angle to place a ladder, sometimes, you need it at a steeper or flatter angle.

I have used a ratchet strap to manage a ladder and even used the front tire of my truck to keep the ladder from kicking out or sliding. . . . at home, not work.
