Was doing some work at a haunted house, this is a prop. The pedestal says black and decker but the tag on the motor was too far gone to read. Thought I'd share

I think you answered your concerns: that's a Pedestal grinder (not a Bench grinder). They can be gigantic.

If i lived closer I would come pick that up^. I have a 14" us electrical tool co grinder and use it almost everyday. I would love another large one next to it.

that 1 was built sept 1948. it'll take 14" wheels but i think its originally a 12"er X 2.5" wide. their at 11" now. what do you use urs 4? thanks.

Aircommuter, could you tell us more about your grinder? HP and wheel size

Bin around machine stuff all my life, nothing that big though

The spindle is 2" the motor is 20 hp 3ph, the wheels are 3 x 30 the hole in the wheel is 10".
Weight is around 5200. It really does the job and doesn't lug down.

That thing is awesome. How many days does it take for it to spool down once turned off?:lol:
