Personally I find it a goofy set up. Box is only 18" deep. Nothing for super wide drawers and depending, a semi useless bulk area. The flat work surface is nice, especially if the wood top is something similar to wood. I think a 40" top and bottom would provide better storage.

I am not even remotely in the market for a box but I saw that and thought it was a great deal and, for the right person, a nice layout. For someone without a crazy amount of tools (again, not me) you could get a basic socket set, pliers, screwdrivers and more in the shallow drawers, miss. supplies and maybe basic air tools in the deeper drawers, cased battery and corded tools behind the hinged door and have a decent light duty workbench to boot.

Same depth as the HF 44" box. If the OP wants it for a home box, it isn't too shabby at that price.

I looked at that box in person at Menards and thought it was even cheaper and flimsier than their Masterforce boxes. The size is some what awkward too, not quite tall enough and not quite deep enough. I also would prefer a deeper drawer at the top. The cabinet adds very little value to me as well.

With a name like Montezuma I'd be afraid it would take its revenge on me and all my tools would leak out the rear. :bounce:

Sorry, I know that was lame but I have nothing else to contribute.

Costco was selling that box without the montezuma name. The Costco box also had a different drawer configuration.

i dont have a menards so i cant enter a zip to see a price. its 500 bucks? seems more than fair, but id want a top box to go with it. not near enough drawers for a box that size. id go with something smaller and more drawers for better seperation of tools.

i posted this over in the deals forum:

i bought it as an addition to my other tool boxes. i think it looks real nice, to where you could almost put it inside your house. lol

sure its not the toughest box out there, but then again i wont be loading it with heavy sockets and whatnot.

took some pics.
