Montezuma 72" Lime Green!

Hello everyone,
I would like to start off by saying thanks to Shannon @ StrictlyToolBoxes.com for assisting in making the correct decision on a purchase difference between the 72" Extreme, and Montezuma. Montezuma suited my needs over the Extreme box; in the area of I would rather have the drawers be completely closed or flush, than having the handles sticking out. That and along with the rocking color of lime green made the decision even more easier.
I will be making an adjustment to the stainless steel top by seeing what I can do to make a tray so when a socket rolls it will not fall off the top of the box.
Now on with some picture of the Lime Green 72" roller cabinet from Montezuma!

Very nice. But just a word of caution. If those drawers are full dont open all of them at the same time. It will tip over.

Thanks for the information, though the drawers are not completely full or organized completely yet, opening more than one drawer at a time has yet to be an issue. I have even tested out by applying more pressure on the box and does not seem to want to tip over. I will use caution though being I do not want to have the box on top of me or laying on the face.

That box is an absolute beauty:drool:. Now all I need is an extra $2000 or so that I can drop on a tool box.

Dang, that box is smooookin'.......nice job. All it lacks(besides being in MY garage) is bitchin' black racing stripes.....LOL

The box is really nice .I have been looking at new boxes all week . Do you think i will be dissapointed if i replace my Mac with one

I would not have a problem placing the Montezuma up against any of the Mac, or Snap-On box. I would have to say that the latest Snap-on box coming out with the power cabinet looks nice, but yet to hear of the price that comes along with.
I am very proud of the Montezuma box. I will let you know that the Mac tool man wanted to deliver the box for me to the shop, and I do have to tell you he was really amazed at the box. Even a week later when he come in to see if I might need or want anything wanted more information on the box. He opened the drawers to examine the craftsmanship of the box, and when I told him the delivered price to the house the Mac man about had to take a seat!
Until the Snap-On man stops talking and starts showing of the Snap-On's new tool box I will have to wait to post on the area.

anyways,, was at sears tonight and saw their new 72 inch box,, very sharp looking,, but wicked thin metal and crappy slides.. I laughed for 8grand with a hutch ,, they can keep it.. looks nice though,, lol///

the guy comes over and says,, you want me to deliver that to your house tomorrow,, and I laughed at him and said,, just cause they stuck a "professional" badge on it doesn't mean it professional.. cause it a far cry from a matco or snap on box... he said really? I thought they were as nice as this,, I said ,, no/// I can push with both hands as hard as i can in my top big drawer in my matco box and can't flex it a bit,, the craftsman, a small single slide,,I could have broke it if i wanted too.. what a disappointment... looks like my next box will be from shannon....

if you really want to see how well it's built,open your widest bottom drawer and stand in it for a couple of minutes.that will tell the story.

i love that montezuma box,, looks great,, I just sent a email to shannon for more info,, I need a new one badly, my 50 inch matco is a awesome box, but I can barely shut every drawer now its so packed.. and Im not going to pay 10k for another matco.... they will give me $3000 towards a new $10k box,,for my 2 year old $7000 box.... what a joke,, and we have to move boxes in my shop every week and our boxes get scratched up all the time from inconsiderate a holes.. So a 10k investment for somebody to run into the wall for me doesnt sound to ****,,,, 3000, i can deal with..

exactly,, the $8000 craftsman i saw, the draw would break for sure,, they only hold 200 lbs... i laughed.. 200lb drawers...:thumbup:

Montezuma's top-sitting tool chests are also pretty good. My grandpa had a really good 36" (link) that I was always impressed with. It's perfect for putting on the back of the truck and driving to a jobsite with.

It takes a pretty good team lift to move it when full, though. But then again, weight in a toolbox is a good thing :)

If you're looking for a toolbox for the back of the truck that also keeps tools ORGANIZED, it's hard to beat one of these.

Also, has anyone seen toolboxes with powdercoating like the Montezuma Black Out? With the way stuff gets scratched up in our shop, I don't know why it isn't more popular. Is it possible to order a custom painting on montezuma boxes? (I'm going to send off this question to a rep, but I'd thought I'd ask it on here anyway)

Man, I am diggin that color more and more. Too bad they don't make that color
