Montezuma and Extreme 56" combo ?'s

I found this forum by searching for information for these tool boxes and been reading a lot of posts and looking at a lot of sweet garages. I first saw these boxes at a farm show and was impressed. I have read most of the posts about these boxes and I am going to purchase one in the near future.

I am debating between the Montezuma MT2-BK5618C and the Extreme EX5621-SD. My question is how do these two compare to each other and does anyone have more pictures or the demensions of the top of the top box. I see they are both different but was ondering if it is tall enought for hansen socket holders. Thanks,

I asked Shannon (guy who runs StrictlyToolBoxes) the same questions and he said it basically comes down to which drawer layout you prefer, the build quality between the two is pretty much the same. Not sure about drawer height, I haven't bought one yet.
FWIW I think the Extreme with more drawers would be my choice.

Thats the one I a leaning toward but kind of like the flip up lid on the montezuma.

I don't have experience with either of those, but I will be picking up the menards 56" Masterhand toolbox this weekend. I can let you know how that goes if you want.

Can you get the Masterhand in black from Menards? They have them at Tractor Supply but I haven't been to a Menards in over a year.

no they only come in a john deereish green, which i actually like alot better than black

Attention Menards marketing department Wonder how many more boxes Menards would sell if they painted them a different color?

Biggest difference is the depth of the drawers. Monti is 24, Extreme is 20.

I am seriously considering the Monti 56 set myself. Just have to convince my better half that I need it. (Along with all the other toys I NEED for the garage...lol)

So, which one did you choose? Monte? Extreme? Something else?

Looking on the strictly toolbox site now, they are both 20" deep. I am leaning towards the extreme as it has a couple more drawers. I've got a perfect 56" spot that is begging to be filled with a nice tool chest.

I am in the market for one as well and I am leaning between these two, the Monte or the Extreme. I got a c-man from my Dad, but it is too small. Looked at the new ones in a Sears and the drawers are so flimsy. It's almost spring cleaning time and about time I got the garage-ma-hal organized.
