I am thinking about getting a 56" Montezuma box or a couple of 41" boxes but I am confused about the quality of these boxes from different sources.

Here is a shot from a Montezuma box from Sears:

There is no metal edge protection on the Sears boxes and the paint/finish is smooth, like enamel. The one from Strictly has the metal edge protection and the finish is like hammered.

Does anyone know anything about these boxes and what the differences might be. Any help is appreciated.

Buy from strictly toolboxes. We bought the international series boxes....

I was planning on buying from them, but this is a major drawback for now:

"Temporarily on Backorder - Estimated Arrival June 2012"

So I am entertaining other options and found these boxes locally at my Sears. I am just trying to figure out if this is also a good box or some rebadged garbage Sears is selling.

I'm sure no expert, but this does not look like any Craftsman cabinet I've ever seen. I like the full width drawer across the top, but I don't care much for deep drawers. More shallow drawers are better in my opinion.

I've got the 56" Montezuma in blue from "Strictly Toolbox's" and it's a very well made box! Delivery was easy and they were strapped to a pallet securely. I added the aluminum handle to the lid as I'm in there a lot.

My local Sears has a few Montezuma boxes on display, and are the opposite - they have a hammered rather than smooth finish. Don't know what model they were. The drawers felt nice, but I didn't care for the textured finish. Looked kinda cheap to me, but then I like smooth, shiny surfaces.

Strickly toolboxes have a pretty good selection. I bought a 72" Extreme tolls box a while back. Built well and looks good

I saw that same montezuma box at Sears as the OP. I can't seem to find it anywhere online for information... Not from sears or montezuma' sites either. I wonder if is just a sear-only box? It's the only?
