I'm gonna be hanging mops and brooms on the wall inside my garage for storage. Does anybody have any good ideas on something to put behind the mop or broom head to keep the wall clean? Something that might be easier to clean than a painted wall. Thank you for your help.

Our builder put a piece of sheet metal underneath our garage faucet, which considering some of the other stuff done (or not done) in our house, I'm a bit surprised they did it. It has worked very well from keeping the drips off the wall, and if I was hanging mops, would do the same or very similar.

I've used plastic wall board for similar applications:

Bit of Ally or stainless sheet metal or plastic if you want to keep it basic, hang some wall tile maybe, you could probably just get away with sticking some contact vinyl to the wall if you were looking for really quick and cheap.

A piece of stainless is quick and easy.
