No chance you can do a little hose job and just squeegee it out side.

I would, but in the winter a hose is probably out of the question. And the contours of the slab aren't the best in the world so I will usually end up with pooling in areas I would rather it not pool in.

I'm not really a huge OCD / neat freak about the garage but I do wanna keep it tidy and clean. Not looking to have the floor ready to eat off or anything, but keeping the floor clean of dirt, salt and grime is much nicer than working in a sloppy mess.

Just looking to see what everyone uses as a mop and bucket for the garage. My garage doesn't have a drain in it and unfortunately that leads to a nasty wet salty mess in the winter when the wifey pulls her car into my nice clean garage.

I was looking at this one, plus a regular run of the mill mop too.

I have that style mop bucket and a nice heavy mop with two heads, one for the shop and one for the house.

I have a 3 foot squeegee on a stick, I just push the water out.

I use a squeegee too, but find that all the dirt, sand and road rubble during the winter causes the squeegee to work for $hi+ If there's enough water it will usually work OK, but most of the time it ends up loosing the contact with the floor and doesn't push all the water very well. But I do use it quite frequently.

I have one like the OP posted a link to.
I searched Craigslist for "mop bucket" for a while before one showed up that was close to me and cheap.

I have basically the same bucket and wringer you posted. Works fantastic. I get mop heads from TSC about once per year. I use mine to mop up greasy floor, not so much water/rain. I'd bet for water the heads would last a long time.

I use a good quality broom. A cheap old mop and bucket for very dirty situations but i steal the wifes steam mop for a good finish but thats on an epoxy floor so it's real easy

I use the Twist and Shout mop from Amazon,http://www.amazon.com/dp/B009RXQSHA/?tag=atomicindus08-20

It works so much better than a regular mop and bucket you won't believe it. Honestly. The bucket has a spinning basket that centrifuges the dirty water out as you push the handle down. Easy. You can walk on the floor almost immediately it dries so quick.

I saw the reviews on Amazon after clicking your link and immediately I was intrigued. But after watching a review and unboxing video on Youtube, I'm not really convinced the whole setup is robust enough for my garage environment. The handle seems pretty flimsy and the bucket and spin wringer are pretty small. However, looks great for the wifey in the house! (Don't tell her I said this guys!)

I'm thinking in this case I'll stick to the old school style that's tried and true. Rather utilitarian, but my garage floor gets really sloppy in the winters.

Get a steel wringer the plastic ****. If you can afford a steel bucket get that two. The screw on mop heads are the best.

You could also try a microfiber mop flat pad set up with a recharge bucket.

Like these:

These can add a little water to the floor to soak up the dust/dirt but also still glide across the floor.

I have that exact mop bucket and love it. I also bought 2 mop heads and put them together on one mop handle and that works perfectly. 1 mop head is just too light and does not clean. Putting 2 together works great.

Hmmm. First post and you bring up a thread that has been dead for 6 years. A screen name like yours and two links to a company from Kansas.

Smells like spam. Is your name Freddie ?
