Looks nice and clean though Jyzze, you must have some junk you can chuck out to make a little space for the moped.

What kind of storage solutions you have in mind? Small sheds are challenging, we have similar storage and during winters it is full of stuff. I'll try to organise that storage during next summer.

JYZZE: my portion of our 2 car garage isn't a lot bigger than your shed and here's a link to my thread where i'm starting to ORGANIZE IT and vacate all my extra storage. yep I probably own 10 axes, 200 hammers, 150 vises, & ... so getting everything I like and own into my 9x15 space will not be easy.

https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=381433

best of luck with yours and the way you have your deck organized i'm guessing with a few hooks to hang stuff and better storage options you'll be ready to have a nice spot for you moped(s) to go in and out when you want to use them without moving a ton of stuff first.

Hi Jyzze,

Great to see you starting your own thread,
Cleaning it up will definitely make things easier, and you don't need a big shop to build/make good things
What mopeds are you working on?

Hi Jyzze, another Finn here! I had a "Solifer SM Automaatti" moped when I was 13-16 years old. It was originally candy red like the parts you have on your shelf, although yours look better than mine did almost 35 years ago. I modified the cylinder porting and silencer, ditched the entire intake silencer, and it would go 65+ kph with original carb and exhaust, and original gearing too. Periodically the transmission would either blow up or seize, fortunately I didn't have any axes handy during those times ;)

I sold the remains of the Solifer a few years ago but I still have the tank and seat left. The tank I kept as a memento because I re-painted it when I was 14, and it turned out surprisingly OK. The seat will go to my Honda CB125 brat/scrambler project I am building with my son.

JYZZE: I still have a few of those style hanging shelves in my industrial vintage garage because they work. congrats on getting the shelving up and getting your stuff ORGANIZED and up off the floor.

keep up the great work and if you might have odd shaped objects or have questions about what others might do with chairs, bikes or bigger items just ask.

good luck

Nice progress, do you have any ideas for your power tools? It seems that your Solifer should fit inside the shed already.

JZ: OMG that looks tasty. I just had pumpkin pancakes with a little too much 100% maple syrup.

your wife will change her mind as you use them and she learns to ride too. my wife didn't golf before she met me over 30 years ago and she'll almost always go on a golf outing if asked now once i taught her how to play.

cheers and enjoy the dinner and beer!!

in case you might want to post a few more of your tasty meals and share some of yours (and the FIN's) health secrets here's a thread I started as a weight loss thread a few years ago you might like to post on even if you are not trying to lose weight or get healthier.

You can use Garage Journal's Album for your pictures. Just click your nickname at the forum -> Add album (give name to your new album, or create several albums to easily manage your pictures) -> Upload pictures.

After you have uploaded some pictures, go to your profile again (click your nickname) -> select album -> select picture.

Now you can see BB code under your picture, just copy paste BB code to your new forum post (i keep two browser tabs open while posting: one for my picture albums and one for creating new forum post/reply).

I hope that this helps you with the pictures.
