More air compressor water separator questions...

I think I finally have the type of filter I need for when I paint my Jeep, but I wan't to pick up a secondary filter to make sure the air is as dry as can be.


Which one of these two should I use?

Is there a different brand I should be looking at?

Both will work, however the 1st one is the one you want. The 2nd one is too restrictive for painting with HVLP guns.

Ive never used the 2nd style from harbor freight, but the ones I have used have a brass mesh screen tube down the center that kills the air flow volume (CFM).

Ditto... I had the 2nd one linked from HF. It totally blew (or rather, it didn't blow).

Even with my compressor at 150 psi, it was like a hamster blowing through a straw. Wouldn't even turn my air ratchet.
