I'll give ya $350 for all that stuff! Any chance you'll be selling any of it here in the classifieds, so are you going to sell it on your truck?

I just watch craigslist. I didnt check it until 430 today, I stopped by his apartment at 7pm and no one had shown up. everyone told him to wait until friday morning. I was shocked he still had anything left. if it would have been friday it would have been gone in minutes.
this is going in my box, or might horse trade with friends.
I do not sell things off the truck that do not come direct from snap on.

wow I hope if I needed cash I would try to use those tools to make the 300 instead of selling them, thats what I never get about people hocking that stuff.

I took one with me because it was not the greatest place to be at 7pm. I stood out like a sore thumb especially ina white suburban with nice rims. when I got out of the truck my wife locked the doors behind me.

What's the street value on all that chrome?

I don't know whether to feel sorry for the kid, or agree with folks here that it must have been stolen. If it's worth a lot more than $300, the kid couldn't wait for more money? Just boned himself out of hundreds of dollars? Did someone have a gun to his head, forcing him to get money quickly?

he had a receipt from school showing paid in full. I had a customer show me a bigger pile earlier this week from another student. got an ethos scanner for 400 bucks that had never been taken out of the box. it was updated also. kids do stupid stuff. my other buddy snagged the rest of the stuff for 200. torque wrench sae sockets 1/4 ratchet extensions a few screwdrivers 3 hammers pliers and a little crappy mulitmeter and test leads.

Ha-ha-ha, that's too funny! Lump is an honorable man. But in this case, me thinks the "student" may have some alternative "mind experiences" on his wanted list, which really means, less money is better for the seller.

. . . unfortunately, if the tools are in fact stolen, then it is not a good idea to broadcast the fact that you bought them all over the Internet. Recovered stolen goods become the property of law enforcement and the "buyer" is SOL.

I would be willing to bet there are dozens of law enforcement people that are members here, professionally or as hobby types.

EDIT: I now see that you have a receipt. But all others take note. :)

he charged it to a credit card. so he is the one who has to pay.
some of you guys on here cant get over the fact that someone gets a good deal and you have to scream stolen. Now if he had 20 sets of the same socket, then that would be thought of as stolen or an auction buy, but with 2009 part numbers on the tolrx deals you boys got then an auction is not that likely.

Nope, I'm just offering words of wisdom to everyone. I see that you have a receipt, and I am not a cop. No worries. :)

why would there be worries. someone buys something sells it again with a copy of the receipt, then no harm done.
looks like it is time to go write a contract. good day boys.
