yes but not as many and i find these much better and more useful than the traditional cutting discs that shatter constantly.

Yup, I can't stand the normal ones. The $10 sale kits at Home Depot right now (see other thread) looked nice until I realized they barely had any discs (which is what I use most) and a bunch of other things I rarely or never use. This $12 kit is a better deal for me. I might just have to stop by this evening if I have time to stock up on those discs.

that was exactly my feeling also, I ordered 2 online and going to pick them up now. I cant even describe how many random pieces i have from the other kits that just pile up and never get used.

FYI - Amazon has them for $15 shipped if someone doesn't have a Lowe's nearby.

FYI it looks like some AMEX cardholders also have a $10 credit for $50 purchases at Lowes through 12/13. Turns out my card doesn't have that offer available, but maybe some others might. YMMV.

It rang up at $15 at my Lowes. Last time I went there something in the sale bill wasn't priced correctly either so maybe its just my store.

HD wouldn't match/beat the price because the 'shelf price' wasn't the same as the 'online price'.

Best buy did this years ago with different prices on the site vs store. Tons of lashback, they invented the term 'showrooming' to shame people who were just buying stuff from amazon right there inside their store. Watched some corporate tool chase this lady around 4 aisles for saving like $300 on a camera kit and basically she was in tears. So anyway

Sears & Lowes both recently have been showing one price on their website vs another in store. Sears absolutely told me they would not match the website price in the store. You guys saying Lowes will is good, but still you shouldn't have to go through the hassle, you bothered to drive there they owe you not the other way around.

rant over.

HD price matched it in-store. Funny, the lady who checked me out didn't even look at my phone or call Lowes. Just took my word for it.

I had a close encounter when using cutting through control arms once. The disc sheared in half and was still spinning. Face shields are cheap, buy one. ;)

Yes, and a full face shield as well. Never use a dremel cutting wheel without a full face shield !! - Paul

I almost lost an eye to a dremel cutting wheel once that broke off. Luckily, it hit my polycarbonite eyeglasses, skittered on up from the bottom to the top, then bounced off and nailed me in the skull a bit. The entire eyeglass on that eye had marks covering it's whole surface. And I was NOT in the plane of action of the wheel at all. It bounced and changed directions when free. I know better. Always use a full face shield guys. Same with any angle grinder wheel! And thick leather gloves there too.

Here is a good quote for all of us on this topic: "The Lord looks after Children and Damn fools, and YOU are not a child anymore!" - Original one by Paul, but inspired by a former race car driver who left the career after almost getting killed, which his wife was not too happy about
