Do these people not realize they are overpaying by hundreds of dollars? I was checking the completed auctions and someone payed $600 for the Craftsman 299pc socket set. Now there is another one for sale for $675 or best offer. Sears.com has this set for about $370 every month or so when they have the 20% off sales. :headscrat

I could post all day long of completed auctions where people over payed, but over paying for Craftsman is just double stupid.

Um, he has a make offer on the site (and he is LOCAL for me). I have ONE spare dollar, if you want to add ONE to, we could make our offer, and I could pick it up.:lol_hitti

Maybe then I could kick him in the jimmies and laugh. :spit:

"There's a sucker born every minute" is a phrase often credited to P.T. Barnum (1810 – 1891), an American showman. It is generally taken to mean that there are (and always will be) a lot of gullible people in the world.

It's not just tools folks. I often see used guitars go for twice what they cost new.

My personal favorite is the Harbor Freight socket trays for 12 bucks each + 12 bucks shipping, when you can walk into the store and buy a set of 3 for 8 bucks.

EBay's new ads are right on the mark... "Shop Victoriously." Nowhere does it say "Shop Smartly" or "think twice before you get too competitive." :spit:

That competitive nature can cost... my wife and another mother bid up our son's Kindergarten class painting, part of a fund raiser, to $300.
