GD shipping kills ya!
I got a "GREAT DEAL" on some SUN engine diagnostic equipment ($50.00) and got a "quote" from a shipping company ($95) to get it from Vancouver to Saskatoon....all seemed OK. Last week I was in Vancouver and got a pallet and some shrink wrap and got it ready to ship. Today I'm back in SK and it arrived - at 3 times the quoted rate - as it was much heavier than I thought it would be. So my "Great Deal" turned into a huge cash outlay ($145.00 turned into $350.00)!!

Not sure if it's a typo or not. Shipping in the UK 2 GBP, shipping everywhere else $1K, so maybe he just wants to make sure it's worth his while to fill out the customs form.
