Craftsman, Gearwrench, and Northern Industrial are all the same...

There is a thread floating around here where someone took a picture at a Northern tool with a Craftsman marked wrench in the Northern marked peg hanger holder. Pretty much confirmed that at least the Craftsman and Northern ones where sourced from the same place.

Welcome to Garage journal!

And the reason why everything on here should be taken with a large pile of salt.

I remember the photo, but don't remember what thread it was.

Well, small update, I got an email at 1:30 saying they were shipping out from Ohio. The email was a bit vague, but I assume they are in a box on their way now. I live in Indiana so I should have them next week sometime.

I just received my order. 3 days after ordering. I paid for ground shipping. Ordered Friday, received Monday.

I think the the raised panel craftsman china flare nuts are the ones that get a bad rap. I have seen a couple of threads where they talk about the heads flexing open and stripping fittings. Because of all of the issues they were having with the old design, they started having apex (gearwrench) make them.

there are no china RP flare nuts wrenches. the USA RP flare nuts dont have a good rep here, but its mixed. there are a number of people, myself included that have had zero problems with them.

its most definitely the china polished chrome flare nut wrenches, that are identical to these gearwrench, and also identical to the northerntool. there is also another supplier selling them dirt cheap, cant remember who, ace hardware maybe.
