My friend picked up this one same as mine but a little smaller. I combed it for any identifying marks. I'll include pics of his and a couple of mine. Any info would be great.

It could be a service cart used at the old Bell Telephone Company I don't think people realize they had manufactures make specific maintenance tools for their factories and were customized for certain applications. It's a guess but sure has that look.

The Bell idea is a good one, but couldn't verify after searching. Still following up on a couple of ideas. Both were painted orange originally. Both came from around the 60515 zip code about 40 miles west of Chicago. Orange is the color of safety. Older bigger companies in the area that used orange in their logos, etc are ICRR, Gulf, and Allis Chalmers. Nothing panned out there, but any business could have painted them orange. One for sure had Craftsman vise mounted on it and maybe the other too, as I have that same vise loose and don't remember if I took it off of that. I sent a self addressed stamped envelope to the 92 year old gentleman who owned one of them.
