Got a plan, or just need the excercise?![]()

Thanks Dennis,
I'm thinking of a non-tabletop kinetic balance sculpture along these lines.

How is the idler used?
I have two stands made out of final drive sprockets like that.... work great...
My stands are not as fancy as the things you build, very simple with 2 1/2 in. square tube upright and cross top hitch tube so I can change tools easy.... 4 1/2 vise, Beverly shear, block of steel I use for an anvil, pipe vise, small 1 ton arbor press, etc.....

I’ve always enjoyed watching your process to the final one of a kind piece of art.
Good luck on your latest endeavour. We will all be watching in anticipation.

I think I would have just kept my eye on it.
I'm thinking around 4-1/2 ton

Thank you,
At this time, I don't know what those plates will be, waiting on inspiration!
On another note, I've had my eye on this blind flange for a couple years and it is now available.
It is a real bruiser, 75"diameter, 7" thick.
I don't have a way to handle it at my place, so I'll have to cut it in two where it lays.
I'm thinking it may be a good start to a anvil.

Damn Royce, I'd say you must have some pretty high volume and high pressure pipes up your way. That ought to make a very good size anvil....or two. Have you tested it for rebound yet? Ed.
