Drill/driver - $70
Impact driver - $80
6.5" circular saw - $50
Compact flashlight - $15
1/2" impact wrench - ?

ah good yet another battery form factor.

I need to buy a 3D printer and 3D print some adapters to go from the HF batteries to Makita, DeWalt, Milwaukee. The Bauer batteries are black so they will look good with any of the tool brands. The 1.5 batteries are only $20 and the 3.0 ones are $35. I wonder if they let you use the 20% coupon on those?

Might be more hassle than it's worth. I hope the cheaper Bauer line gets a jobsite radio, because I need one, and that would be my gateway into their ecosystem to at least check them out.

I have a corded reciprocating Makita saw, and I have a corded Rockwell 4.5" compact circular saw (light and can be used one handed -- goes through 2x4's/2x6's and plywood like butter. And I have an el cheap Ryobi corded multi-tool (oscillating).

Though cordless is obviously more convenient if you need to do something like cut down trees or bushes far from an outlet.

My only cordless tools are my 1/4" impact driver and my regular drill. Both are Makita. I should pick up cordless recip and circular saws to make things more convenient.

Absolutely true. I’ve sold off my corded stuff for pennies on the dollar and just gave away a few (nice) corded drills. I simply have no need or use. I’ll gladly pay a premium for the convenience of cordless. In fact the cordless pays for itself on the first job w increased productivity for me.

Agreed. He seems incredibly biased especially since his reviews contrast jarringly with that of RTR

Based on his say-so, his sabotaged re-assembly and another one of his moronic "head-to-head" tests... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yup, he's a trusted source to let you know if something is bad, alright.
